Patrice Evra, a Manchester United and France veteran, has advised Manchester City not to over-celebrate their victory against Real Madrid.
On Wednesday, Manchester City defeated Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Etihad Stadium.
The Cityzens will now face Inter Milan in the final on June 10 in Istanbul, Turkey, and Evra has advised Pep Guardiola’s players not to celebrate as if they have won anything yet.
Evra, it seemed, couldn’t take City’s jubilation as they worked towards equal United’s class of 1999.
He stated to CBS Sports,
“There’s only one game left, so don’t celebrate just yet; instead, calm down and relax.”
City will now seek to win the trophy and atone for their mistakes Loss in the 2021 final as part of what might be a magnificent clean sweep of the top prizes.
They might potentially win the Premier League this weekend if they defeat struggling Chelsea.
The Sky Blues will also face Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
