WhatsApp’s Exciting New Feature: Editing Sent Messages

0

Thanks to a new feature, WhatsApp users may now amend previously sent messages.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, on Monday, WhatsApp users can now amend their outgoing messages up to 15 minutes after they have been delivered.

Users have more control over their interactions with the aid of this new tool, which allows them to rectify mistakes, make words more clear, and add details.

Following these steps within 15 minutes of sending a WhatsApp message will allow you to amend it:

1. Launch the relevant WhatsApp chat.

2. Long-press on the message you wish to alter to select it.

3. Select “Edit” from the menu that appears in the top-right corner.

As a reminder, the word “edited” will display next to the message’s header.

The recipients of the modified messages will be notified of the change without having access to the entire edit history, which is significant.

According to a Meta statement, this function is now being brought out to users, and it is expected that everyone will have access to it in the next weeks.
