Newcastle United are one win away from guaranteeing their spot in the UEFA Champions League for next season.
The Magpies moved a step closer to qualification with a 4-1 win over Brighton on Thursday night.
Eddie Howe’s men got off to a good start thanks to Deniz Undav’s own goal. Dan Burn’s header soon before halftime extended their lead.
Undav pulled one back early in the second half, but Newcastle responded with goals from Callum Wilson and Bruno Guimaraes.
They now have 69 points, three more than fourth-placed Manchester United.
Newcastle leads Liverpool by four points in fifth position.
They will qualify for the Champions League if they win one of their last two games.
