Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has stated that Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko will not play again this season.
Arteta made the announcement during his press conference on Friday, ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Nottingham Forest.
Martinelli sprained his ankle last weekend after being tackled by Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
Zinchenko was not even named to Arteta’s matchday squad for the game at Emirates Stadium.
Both players will now miss the last two games against Nottingham Forest and Wolves.
“Both are out for the rest of the season.” Gabi has a really bad injury; we’ll see how long he’s out for next week, but he’ll be out for at least a few weeks.
