Super Eagles Striker Awoniyi Looks To Make History Against Arsenal (Read This)

Taiwo Awoniyi will attempt to make history when Nottingham Forest takes on Arsenal at the City Ground on Saturday (today).

Awoniyi has four goals in his last two games for the Tricky Trees and can become the first Nottingham Forest player to score in three consecutive league games if he scores again in this encounter.

Only two Nottingham Forest players have done so: Dougie Freedman and Danilo.

Freedman accomplished the feat in the 1998/99 season, while Danilo equaled it this year.

Awoniyi recently returned to action for Nottingham Forest after being sidelined for nearly two months due to a groin ailment.

In 25 league games, the Nigeria international has nine goals and one assist.
