Stan Collymore, a former Liverpool striker, has advised Arsenal defender Kierney to join Manchester City or Newcastle United this summer.
He believes the Arsenal man would be a fantastic match for both Pep Guardiola’s and Eddie Howe’s teams, as both Premier League clubs are interested in him.
Since arriving from Celtic for £25 million in 2019, the 25-year-old has established himself as an important player of Mikel Arteta’s team.
This season, the combative left-back has fallen out of favor with Arteta, starting only six of his 25 Premier League matches.
Collymore explained to Caught Offside,
“Tierney is unquestionably a top-tier player.” If he moves to the Etihad, I believe he might be what Andy Robertson is to Liverpool.”
expressing his thoughts onThe ability of the Scotsman to fit in at both Manchester City and Newcastle “He’ll be one of the club’s most reliable players,” Collymore remarked. Newcastle would suffer a setback if he joins City.
“He’d be fantastic; he’d be a perfect fit for their profile.”
