Mrs Oluwatoyin Falade is seeking the divorce of her 11-year-old marriage due to her husband, Segun’s, promiscuous behavior.
The 44-year-old wife petitioned an Orile Agege Customary Court for a divorce.
The petitioner has two children for Segun, ages eight and eleven, and lives on Tunde Davids Close in Agege, Lagos.
“My husband is a flirt, chasing anything in a skirt.” Before I married him, I had two daughters, ages 15 and 18.
“They stay with me, and I don’t trust my husband because he chases everything in a skirt,” according to NAN.
Oluwatoyin went on to say that her husband “changes women anyhow” and does not respect her.
The petitioner described how individuals in her neighborhood mocked her because of the incident.
Segun, a judiciary worker in Lagos State, responded by admitting infidelity and bringing “different women” to the residence.”My Lord, you can see that my wife is clean. She is not in pain. “I recently bought her a phone, and I pay the children’s school fees,” he explained.
The 46-year-old citizen implored the court not to approve the dissolution, promising that if given another chance, he would set things right.
After hearing from both sides, the Court President, Adewale Adegoke, advised them to remain calm throughout the proceedings.
The case was postponed until May 30 to allow for alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
