Both of Silva’s goals came during a remarkable first-half performance by the hosts, before Eder Militao’s own goal and a late score by substitute Julian Alvarez sealed a 4-0 triumph on the night and a 5-1 win on aggregate.
City, who are on the verge of winning the Premier League and are in the FA Cup final, will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on 10 June in Istanbul, hoping to win the competition for the first time.
