Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has issued a warning to Arsenal with their Premier League title aspirations being shattered.
Walker stated that the Gunners deserve credit for their excellent season after the defending champions, Manchester City, won the title on Saturday.
Manchester City won their third league title in a row when Arsenal were defeated 1-0 by Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Gunners were vying for their first Premier League title since 2004, and they led the table for much of the season.
“It’s been a little madness in there [first-team building] , but we’re fully focused on the Chelsea match [on Sunday afternoon] ,” Walker told the Manchester City official website.
“At some point after tomorrow, we’ll celebrate,
Perhaps, but there are more games coming up. I would have wanted to win it tomorrow and beat Chelsea.
“Arsenal pushed us to our breaking point; they’ve been fantastic, so all credit to them.” But we’ve just gone on a fantastic run; they had a few hitches, which we exploited, and we’ve managed to get to where we are today.”
