Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and a well-known millionaire, and his longtime companion Lauren Sanchez have gotten engaged.
Bezos’ girlfriend, 53, was pictured wearing a large diamond ring earlier this week, fueling curiosity about whether it is an engagement ring or just another gift from the billionaire.
According to Ajay Anand of Rare Carat, the “absolute monster” ring weighs 20 carats and costs around 2.5 million dollars.
Jeff Bezos, 59, and Lauren Sanchez, 53, are in Cannes for the Cannes Film Festival after a weekend surprise trip to Cannes on their $500 million superyacht.
Their accommodations have been extraordinary, as they have been staying on Bezos’ $500 million boat, which includes a mermaid.Sanchez is depicted on the prow.
Sanchez founded Black Ops Aviation and previously worked as a TV journalist. She previously married Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell, with whom she had two children.
They’ve been dating since 2018. Little was known or made public about their relationship until later in 2019, when Bezos’ divorce from MacKenzie Scott was finalized. They had been married for a whopping 25 years.
Bezos, on the other hand, has four children with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, to whom he was married for 25 years, including a girl and three sons.
Sanchez has indicated a desire to follow in Jeff Bezos’ footsteps and travel to space when the time is right.
