Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that he will remain in his position regardless of the outcome of an inquiry into the club’s suspected violations of Premier League financial rules.
Guardiola, on the other hand, has called for a swift resolution to the situation.
City was charged with over 100 financial rule violations between 2009/2010 and 2017/2018, and their case was forwarded to an independent commission in February.
The freshly crowned champions categorically deny the accusations.
“I will stay next season,” Guardiola told reporters ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Brighton.
“I will stay. 100 breaches from the Premier League against us, don’t worry, we will be there,” he said.
There are speculations that the process could go on for years, but Guardiola wants a decision to be made quickly “for the benefit of everyone”.
