The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has apprehended nine alleged internet fraudsters in the Itam Police Station Road area of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Victor Etiowo, George Vincent, Daniel Joshua, Lambert Joshua, Johnny Jimmy, Elijah Asuquo Ekwere, Amos Cosmos, Otobong Emmanuel, and Enomfon Jackson Akpabio were named as suspects.
They were apprehended after actionable intelligence about their suspected internet illegal activity at the location led to their arrest.
Mobile phones of various brands have been found from them.
As soon as the investigations are completed, the suspects will be arraigned in court.
