Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, has earned a two-match ban for comments he made regarding referee Paul Tierney during his team’s 4-3 victory over Tottenham in April.
It means the German will miss Sunday’s encounter at Anfield against Aston Villa.
The second game has been postponed until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, which means Klopp will not miss the season finale against Southampton.
After the Spurs game, Klopp believed Tierney had “something against” the Reds.
He also received a £75,000 punishment after admitting wrongdoing and apologizing for his words.
