Dimitar Berbatov, a former Manchester United striker, has supported club legend Wayne Rooney to take over as manager at Old Trafford in the future.
Berbatov was a teammate of Rooney’s at Manchester United.
Rooney is Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer and the manager of MLS club DC United.
“Not many players from my time at Manchester United have actually gone into management,” Berbatov explained to Betfred.
“However, in my opinion, Wayne Rooney would like to be a future Manchester United manager, and I am confident he will be.”
“He is currently paying his dues in club management, gaining valuable experience and improving, so I am confident he will manage Manchester United one day”
