A mechanic is sentenced to three months in prison for criminal intimidation.

On Thursday, an Area Court in Jos sentenced Zakaria Bala, 24, to three months in prison for criminal intimidation.

Shawomi Bokkos, the judge, punished the offender after he pled guilty to a single count of criminal intimidation and begged the court for mercy.

The Judge, on the other hand, provided the convict the option of paying a N20,000 fine.

Previously, the police prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that on April 20, a police patrol of “C” division police station Jos detained the accused while on patrol.

He claimed that about 4:30 p.m., a police patrol unit was on patrol and detained the convict for criminally frightening Ali and the inhabitants of Filling Sukuwa.

According to Gokwat, the inmate admitted to committing the crime during a police probe.

According to the police prosecutor, the offense violated the Plateau State Penal Code.
