Timipre Sylva, who is the Minister of State for Petroleum, will be given the traditional title “Sarkin Kudun Hausa” by the Daura Emirate Council.

The honor was given by HRH Umar Farouk Umar, who is the Emir of Daura.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who is from the city of Daura in the state of Katsina, responded to the news on Friday through his spokesman, Garba Shehu.

Shehu said that Sylva got the title because of his “various and cross-cultural experiences” from going to school, working, and sharing his knowledge in different parts of the country and the world.

Buhari thinks that Sylva’s acceptance shows that religious and cultural tolerance, understanding, and networking are needed to keep the country together.

The leader of Nigeria is grateful to the Daura Emirate Council for helping his government.

“President Buhari prays for the Minister and his family’s well-being,”
