Prof. Olurotimi Sanya, the first Provost of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Afe Babalola University in Ado Ekiti, received a lot of praise when he left his job.
Prof. Sanya’s colleagues, students, and other well-wishers at the event all had great things to say about him.
Prof. Sanya, who was the first person to teach at the college, was named Provost in 2014.
Speakers at the event took the time to talk about what he did during his time there and said that he was the right person for the job.
Prof. Abiodun Ojo and Prof. Oladimeji congratulated the medical legend and said that his work to make the college a force to be reckoned with would not be quickly forgotten.
In the same way, Mrs. Elizabeth Ojo, Taiwo Olukorode, and a student representative, thanked Prof. Sanya for everything he did for the college and spoke highly of him.
Prof. Sanya, who is also a pastor, thanked the crowd for the praise they had given him and said that their stories showed that he had done his job at the college.
He said that their help and cooperation were key to his success and asked them to do the same for the current provost.
Prof. Rotimi Sanya joined the university system in 2011 after retiring from his job as Chief Medical Director of the State Specialist Hospital, Ikere Ekiti, in 2007.
