Nigeria needs a deliverer, not a leader, according to Bishop David Oyedepo, the president of Living Faith Church Worldwide.

During a preaching during the ongoing Shiloh program at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, the fiery man of God made the comment.

Oyedepo claimed he cautioned Nigerians against electing the current administration in 2015 as he bemoaned the nation’s security and economic crises.

He declared, “I believe I am moved by the spirit to pray for this country. I told this country in 2015 that we were approaching a crisis and a traumatic event, and many people were wiping their mouths. Today is their day off.

“God can raise a prophet without the approval of the majority. I sobbed as I witnessed a nation crumbling. Politicians often use prophets to say what they want to hear.

“I have been very quiet, but what we need right now is a deliverer, not a leader. Except for the church that can be considered a nation, almost little is left.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, also attended the Shiloh 2022 Program on Thursday night.

After being introduced on day three of the event by Bishop David Abioye, vice president of the ministry, he received a thunderous applause.
