Adelabu says that another four years of Makinde’s rule would be terrible for Oyo

Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Accord candidate for governor in Oyo State, said that another four years of Engineer Seyi Makinde as governor would be disastrous and bad for development.

Adelabu, who used to be Deputy Governor (Operations) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said this on Monday in Ibadan, the state capital, during a meeting with some journalists.

DSMEDIA24 says that Adelabu was the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor in 2019.

During the election, Makinde, who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), beat Adelabu and other candidates.

Adelabu, on the other hand, has said that Makinde’s work over the last three and a half years has not been the best for the state.

He said that he decided to run for governor in 2023 because Makinde wasn’t doing a good enough job.

In his speech, Adelabu also said that the people of the state have realized that Makinde is not good for the state.

He also said that people thought the governor should only be able to serve for four years.

Adelabu said,

“His work so far hasn’t been the best for us as a leader state.

“Four more years with this government would be terrible and bad for progress.

“That’s why we got back together and said, “Let’s try it again.”

“So, this time, almost everyone agrees that Seyi is not good for Oyo State and that he should only be governor for four years.”
