Donald Trump, who was once president of the United States, has said that he might run for president again in 2024 and make a comeback to the White House.
Trump told the crowd in Iowa where he was campaigning for Republican candidates in next week’s midterm elections on Thursday. It was the first of four rallies he would hold in the next five days.
The January 6th Committee has sent a subpoena to the former Republican President because he didn’t stop his supporters from storming the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, after he lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden.
According to Reuters, he said again that his claim that he lost the 2020 election because of widespread election fraud is not true.
He said, “I ran twice.” “I won twice, and the second time was much better than the first. I got millions more votes in 2020 than I did in 2016,” he said.
“And, in the same way, he got more votes than any sitting president in our country’s history.
“And now, to make our country successful, safe, and glorious, I will very, very, very likely do it again. Very soon. Trump told the cheering crowd, “Get ready.”
Reports showed that Trump got the most votes ever for a sitting president in 2020, with 72 million. However, he still lost to Biden, a Democrat who ran against him and is now president, who got 81 million votes.
