Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State said on Thursday that he would help Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, with “logistics.”
Wike said he would help Obi with logistics during his Rivers State campaign.
He promised to help Obi at the opening ceremony for the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover in Port Harcourt.
The governor also said Obi has what it takes to be president of Nigeria.
From what Wike says:
“Let me know whenever you want to run for office in the state, and we’ll help you with all the logistics.”
Obi, his running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed, and some members of the LP presidential campaign team were in Rivers for the opening of the 9th flyover built by Wike’s government.
Wike has been meeting with leaders of other political parties over the past few months.
Wike did what he did because he was upset with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leadership after he lost the party’s presidential primary.
