The FEC honors the late Amaechi under Osinbajo’s leadership


At a hybrid Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held on Wednesday in the State House Council Chambers in Abuja, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo served as the meeting’s chair.

In the UK for a routine medical checkup, President Muhammadu Buhari is currently absent.

Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the president’s chief of staff, and Boss Mustapha, the secretary to the government of the federation, are also present.

The death of Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, Nigeria’s first Minister of Aviation, was announced to the cabinet by Mustapha before the meeting ever got started.

In memory of the late Amaechi, who passed away on Monday at the age of 92, the council then observed a moment of quiet.

Industry, Trade and Investments Minister Niyi Adebayo, Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, Sports and Youth Development Minister Sunday Dare, and Science and Technology Minister Adeleke Mamora are all physically present at the conference.

Additionally, Babatunde Fashola oversees works and housing, and Mahmood Abubakar is in charge of agriculture and rural development.

At the meeting were Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investments Mariam Katagum and Minister of State for Health Ekumankama Joseph Nkama.
