Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, is upset about the Naira’s falling value.
Adeboye was sad that Nigeria’s situation had gotten so bad that the country’s currency was no longer worth the paper it was printed on.
He said this in response to the Central Bank of Nigeria, or CBN, making changes to the Naira.
The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, said that the N100, N200, N500, and N1000 bills will be redesigned.
Emefiele said that the new naira bills would come out on December 5, 2022.
Pastor Adeboye said this in response:
“We need to ask God for help because what’s going on in our country doesn’t even make sense anymore.
“Right now, our Naira isn’t worth as much as the paper it’s printed on. People are hungry and trying to find enough money to buy bread. Our Moses are thinking about making the Naira more beautiful, so that even if it can’t buy bread, at least it will look beautiful.
