At the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Center (NAFRC) in Oshodi, Lagos, on Tuesday night, a corporal named Abayomi Edun crushed to death Brigadier-General Audu Ogbole James, who was in charge of finances.

Army General Audu Ogbole James died in the accident because he was hit by an intoxicated corporal driving an SUV with the license plate EKY 177 FX.

The person who died was taken quickly to the NAFRC Medical Centre, where a doctor confirmed that he was dead.

Kuru, who works with James at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, said that the loss was shocking in a statement. “The Monitor General SEC 40 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Brig Gen AO JAMES, mni, has just left. He worked hard, was humble, and was friendly.

He died yesterday evening in Lagos from injuries he got when he was hit by a car on the road.”

“May the Lord give his soul peace. We’re sorry for the family’s loss, AANI and especially the SEC 40.

May the Lord comfort everyone and give them the strength to deal with this loss that can’t be replaced. So sad,” said the ACM Kayode Olagunju-signed statement.

On the NARFC website, the General’s profile says that he had both a first and a second degree in Accounting and Finance.
