David Mark’s son was buried in the state of Benue

Tunde Mark was the son of David Mark, who used to be President of the Senate. His body has been laid to rest.

The body was buried in the Otukpo area of Benue State, where the family lived.

Tunde, who was 51, died of cancer on October 21, 2022, in a hospital in London. He had been sick for over a year.

On November 9, songs were sung at a service in Abuja. This was the first part of the funeral.

On November 10, his family and friends took his body to Otukpo for a wake.

The funeral was attended by Governor Samuel Ortom, his deputy Benson Abonu, Senate Minority Leader Philip Aduda, and Senator Abba Moro.

Others included Idris Wada, who used to be the governor of Kogi, Suleman Adokwe, Lekan Mustapha, Bishop Michael Apochi of the Otukpo Catholic Diocese, and Rev. Innocent Jooji.

Most Rev. Fr. Sylvester Onmonke told the family in his sermon to have faith in God because only God can give and take life.

Tunde’s wife, Natsu, daughter, Audrey, parents, brothers, and sisters are the only people he left behind after he died.
