President Muhammadu Buhari is back in Nigeria after getting medical checks for 13 days in the United Kingdom.
On Monday, October 31, 2022, he left the country for a routine emergency checkup in London, United Kingdom.
Femi Adesina, who works as a spokesman for the president, said this on his Twitter account.
The President was in charge of an emergency meeting of the National Security Council at the State House in Abuja, where he and his security chiefs went over the security warning that the US government sent to its employees in Nigeria.
Before leaving by plane, he went to the opening ceremony of the conference and retreat for senior police officers in Owerri, Imo State.
His media aide had said in a short statement that the President would be back in the second week of November 2022.
During the routine medical checks, the President took the chance to pay a short visit to King Charles, the King of England.
During a heart-to-heart talk, King Charles reportedly joked and asked Buhari if he had a home in the UK.
Now that Buhari is back, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign is set to start on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau State.
