Antony, a winger for Manchester United, broke down in tears on Monday in front of his family and friends when it was confirmed that he would play for Brazil at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
In a video that the Brazilian posted on his Instagram Story on Monday, he and everyone else in the room were all excited when his name was called on the list of people going to Qatar.
The 22-year-old forward then hugged someone with his face down. It was an emotional moment for him.
Tite’s World Cup team also has Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Richarlison, who all play forward in the Premier League.
Roberto Firmino, however, was not on the Brazilian team for the tournament, even though he has been one of the most important players for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team this season.
