The head of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, says he has filed an appeal against the court’s decision to put him in Kuje jail.
Bawa told journalists in Abuja that he would let the law take its course, since he had already filed an appeal against the remand verdict.
We’ve already gone to court about it, so we’ll just let the law take its course,” he said.
Blueprint had said earlier that a High Court in Abuja had found the head of the agency that fights corruption guilty of disrespecting the court.
The EFCC was found guilty because it didn’t follow a court order from November 21, 2018, telling it to give back a Range Rover and N40 million to a person who had filed a lawsuit.
