One of the Federal Government College (FGC) students who was taken from Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State, has given birth.
The girl is one of the 11 schoolgirls who have still been held since last year.
Even though their families have paid ransoms and swapped prisoners, they are still not sure what will happen to them.
PRNigeria says that the young mother just gave birth to a boy in the abductors’ camp in the forest.
“The robbers got huge ransoms and married off some of their victims, but they wouldn’t let go of the others,” a source said.
On June 17, 2021, terrorists broke into the school for both boys and girls and killed a police officer.
They took more than 100 students and eight teachers hostage, and they also stole a herd of cattle from the area.
A few days after the attack, the people who had been taken hostage let some teachers and dozens of students go. The military said that one person had died.
In October 2021, two girls and 25 boys, along with three teachers, got their freedom back.
In his speech, Governor Atiku Bagudu told the people who had been hurt that they should see what happened as a test from God.
“Even the best and most faithful Prophets of Allah have been tested and tried,” he said.
