Why I Haven’t Released My Manifesto, According to Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, LP, has explained why his 2023 campaign platform wasn’t released sooner.

Before announcing his manifesto, Obi said that he was “waiting for the positions of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).”

The former governor of Anambra State said this in a BBC interview as he faced criticism for delaying the publishing of his presidential election manifesto in 2023.

Obi, on the other hand, dismissed the complaints, pointing out that the nation had many ideas and well-documented policy projects that had been rendered ineffectual because there was no political will to carry them out.

The Labour Party’s manifesto will be revealed “sometime next week,” according to Doyin Okupe, the director general of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign, who also noted that it will be unique from those of other political parties.
