On Sunday, the Federal University Birnin Kebbi announced that classes would resume on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has ended its eight-month strike, as DAILY POST previously reported.
After that, the Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) Senate agreed Monday, October 31, 2022 for the institution to resume academic activities during its meeting.
The resuming date was decided upon at the Senate meeting that was conducted on Friday, according to a statement signed by Jamilu Magaji, the university’s public relations officer.
According to the announcement, Second Semester lectures will be held over an eight-week period from Monday, October 31, to Thursday, December 22, as per the approved amended 2020–2021 academic calendar.

The second exam for the 2020–2021 session will start on January 30 and run through February 18, 2023, according to the statement.
