At the age of 79, Ebere Udeagu, a former deputy governor of Imo State, passed dead.
Former Imo State governor Ikedi Ohakim expressed his sadness over the loss of the former deputy governor known as Chinemeze in his condolence letter.
Ohakim stated that the Okigwe zone, Imo State, and Nigeria as a whole had lost a traditional elder statesman who was committed to a better society in a brief statement issued on Monday in Owerri by one of his subordinates, Emmanuel Chukwu.
Former All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) vice presidential candidate Udeagu supported former governor Achike Udenwa in his governorship from 1999 to 2007.
On Monday morning in Owerri, Udeagu, a trained water engineer from Ihube in the Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, passed away.
