The first Spotify artist to perform in Barcelona’s Jersey will be Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham.
The Spanish club will recognize the 35-year-old for becoming the first creator on the platform to reach 50 billion streams.
Barça’s shirt will feature Drake’s insignia on the front as they square off against Real Madrid in an El Clasico game at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
This will be the first time that Blaugrana has replaced their partner’s logo with an artist’s logo as part of their collaboration with Spotify, the most popular audio streaming subscription service in the world.
According to Barcelona.com, combining sports and music is one of the key ideas behind the relationship between FC Barcelona and Spotify in order to reach out to new audiences around the globe.
As a result, the Canadian singer’s business emblem will be displayed on the front of the team’s jersey on October 16 when Barça faces Real Madrid in place of the most well-known audio streaming subscription service in the entire globe.
