A Nigerian student who relocated to the UK to pursue his studies is about to be deported for putting in more than 20 hours per week of employment.
A Twitter user going by the handle @Oludeewon posted the article and claimed that foreign students are not legally permitted to work more than 20 hours per week in the UK.
Evidently, the Nigerian had violated the requirements of his student visa, which forbids him from working more than 20 hours per week.
Unfortunately, his visa was revoked because he didn’t follow the rules and meet the requirements.
“Reasons for cancellation,” the document stated.
Your permission to stay in the UK has been revoked and will no longer be valid starting immediately. These are the causes:
You are specifically seen as someone who obtained permission to stay by fraud. Following your application for a work leave to remain visa, you were given permission to stay until September 14, 2027.
This was approved after you affirmed that you had not previously broken any of the terms of your T4 student visa. Because you previously violated the terms of your student visa by working more than 20 hours per week, your permit has been revoked.
I am convinced that you no longer meet the requirements for your visa as a result. Your authorization expires on October 19, 2022.
