The last three farmers who were kidnapped in Iseyin, Oyo State, recently have been freed.
Four farmers were kidnapped in an agricultural settlement two weeks ago, the DSMEDIA24 learned.
The kidnappers murdered one of the farmers.
However, DSMEDIA24 has learned that the final three farmers have been freed.
According to reports, the remaining three farmers were freed after the families allegedly paid N10 million.
On Monday, information came to light that the ransom was paid to the captors via their authorized network in order to prevent any additional casualties.
Rasheed Adepoju, the farm settlement’s chairman, told journalists that the news of the development had been released.
He stated:
“Although we lament the sad loss of one of the victims at the hands of the kidnappers, we wish to praise God that the other victims have returned home and will soon be reunited with their family.
We’ll talk about this more as time goes on since it’s so surprising.
