Nigerian youths have once more been cautioned against acting as political thugs who cause unrest prior to and during the general elections in 2023.
Ifedayo Akindoju, President of the Abuja Country Club, who delivered the warning, urged young people to lead the way for good change in the 2023 political era in order to secure a great future for themselves.
At a public event in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s 62nd year of independence, Akindoju, who is also the president of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, delivered the warning.
The Abuja Country Club President declared that, at 62, Nigeria’s united unity is cause for joy during the forum, which was attended by prominent Nigerians.
“62 years of continuous existence is not 62 days. We have faced difficulties as a country, yet we are still moving forward as a team. This accomplishment ought to be celebrated by all of us.
“There is no need for murder or bloodshed during the general elections; all we should strive and hope for, come 2023, are credible and peaceful elections; this can only be accomplished when all Nigerians choose to walk the path of peace,” he stated.
He probably argued for an open election process and the peaceful installation of leaders in order to give the country’s oppressed masses a better quality of life.
