The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate Abubakar Atiku has stated that he opposes allowing his kids to live overseas.

He declared that his children will not emigrate to other nations despite the hardships experienced under the All Progressives Congress, APC-led President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

This claim was made by Atiku during a meeting with South-East PDP stakeholders on Tuesday in Enugu.

Atiku has promised to prioritize quality education and human capital development in order to give young people the chance to participate in the contemporary economy.

According to Atiku, “You saw Nigerians returning from overseas to invest in various opportunities in the country during the administration in which I served as Vice President. because I was exposed to it in my university.

“After I made sure to offer international standards, a large number of Nigerians from the United States and Europe returned to North-East Yola rather than Lagos or Abuja. They returned. All we have to do is ensure that we make our nation appealing for them to return, and they will,” he continued.

“The trend has subsequently changed under the APC. People are eager to leave Nigeria and cannot wait. You all have family members and kids who are emigrating to Canada and the United States. I’ve got my own. I haven’t allowed any of them to move abroad since I don’t think they’re real. We must remain in this nation.

Additionally, the former vice president pledged to make sure everyone has access to high-quality healthcare.
