Akeredolu receives a national honor from President Buhari

Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu will be presented with a national honor by President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired).

In a statement issued on Monday by Mr. Richard Olatunde, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Akeredolu is mentioned as one of the beneficiaries of the 2022 National Honour Award of the Commander of the Order of the Niger.

The appointment, according to the claim, was made via a letter from the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, which was signed by Senator George Akume, the minister.

The letter said, in part, “I have the honor to publicly tell you that the awarding of the National Honors to you in the rank of CON, Commander of the Order of the Niger, has been approved by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 9am, the event is planned to take place at the International Conference Center in Abuja.
