A 3-year-old kid named Faruq Saluhu has been reported missing in the Otto village in Lagos State’s Ebute-Meta area.

Around 1pm on Tuesday, June 28, Faruq disappeared from the neighborhood of the community’s palace.

According to Punch, the most recent occurrence happened around a year after about seven youngsters mysteriously disappeared from the neighborhood.

Selepha Saluhu, Faruq’s mother, expressed regret for the family’s futile search for him.

“Today, Faruq returned from school” (Tuesday). He went to his father’s shop nearby to play after I fed him.

One of his buddies was asked to purchase sachet water, and he reportedly followed that person. My son never showed up, but the other boy did.

After a while, when my husband did not see him, he quickly informed me that he was missing and began looking for him, but to no effect, she recalled.

The 38-year-old housewife claimed that her husband later filed a police report about the incident in Iponri.

Ishola Agbodemu, the head of the Lagos Mainland Security Team, acknowledged the occurrence and stated that the disappearance of children in the neighborhood had become a major source of worry.

“Faruq became the tenth child in this neighborhood to go missing on Tuesday when he vanished. In our efforts, we have informed the police.

The media has covered this issue of children going missing, yet nothing has changed.
