Kashim Shettima has received congratulations from Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on his selection as the All Progressives Congress’ vice presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
In a statement released by the state commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, the governor expressed his congratulations to the former governor of Boro.
He characterized Shettima as being exceptionally witty and qualified for the vice presidential office.
Ganduje emphasized that Shettima, who played a significant role and brought attention to his qualification, competency, and exposure during the pre-presidential primary campaign, had common experience with him.
He expressed his belief that the senatorial candidate from Borno Central was a wise pick who would be able to work with the president-elect to advance Nigeria.
The governor praised APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for picking Shettima as his running mate, calling the decision an assurance of the party’s electoral success.
In order to ensure the victory of the APC, Ganduje urged Nigerians, and especially APC members, to unite behind its presidential candidate and his vice presidential running mate.
