Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder has taken a swipe at Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag for trying to sign players from the Dutch champions.
Having arrived at Manchester United from Ajax, Ten Hag is keen on signing some of his outstanding former players.
He Is currently looking at luring Brazilian winger Antony and Dutch defender Timber to Old Trafford.
Ten Hag must boister the squad having watched about 10 players, including Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard leave Old Trafford.
And Schreuder, who took over from Ten Hag at Ajax and took charge of his first training session on Friday was asked about his predecessor’s interest in some of his players.
He said, “Erik knows that he should not buy players from Ajax. I’m kidding. You never know in football,” he told reporters after training on Friday.
“But it is not important to me to talk about Erik or United. We have to talk about Ajax and we know that we are a very big and strong club.”
