Naira Marley’s first album came out a little more than two weeks ago.
Since then, the 14-track project has gotten a huge 86 million streams on AudioMack alone, plus more streams on other platforms.
“God’s Timing’s The Best” is a studio album that has been a long time coming and is one of the most anticipated projects in a while.
This is Naira Marley’s first album, so it should mean something, but after three years, he can only get so much attention. Even more so when he’s not Rema or has Don Jazzy’s support.
Still, for what it’s worth, some people would say that the album has been a commercial success, even if it hasn’t been well received by critics. It’s not quite the work of art that some people thought it would be.
The list of people he invited, which includes Mayorkun, Mohbad, Zinoleesky, and Lil Kesh, probably should have been longer. It looks like Naira Marley doesn’t want to try anything new or get out of his comfort zone.
Well, there’s a reason why Naira Marley is one of the most popular street artists. At least some of the fourteen tracks would bang. All that matters is that.
Some of the songs on the album are favorites right away, like “Montego Bay,” which now has an official video. Some of the collaborations are also good jams. You can’t listen to the album and not remember at least one song.
“Drink Alcohol Like It’s Water,” which features Diquenza and Chivv, is my favorite song on the album. I like the idea, which is one reason why I still think Naira Marley is worth listening to. He has some ideas.
Also, it’s been two weeks, which is long enough to pick a favorite song. So, which song on the album do you like the most right now?
