Rochas Okorocha, a former governor and senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, has spoken for the first time since the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election on Tuesday.
Some people were worried that the former governor of Imo State would leave the party if he didn’t get the ticket.
However, in a statement released to media on Friday by the Special Adviser (Media), Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha expressed his support for Asiwaju as he runs for President of the APC in the 2023 election.
According to Okorocha,
” I applaud everyone who voted in the APC’s presidential primary.
According to Okorocha,
“I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his victory in the All Progressives Congress’s Presidential Primary Election.
As previously reported by DSMEDIA24, almost 2,000 accredited delegates voted to elect the ruling party’s ticket bearer for the 2023 general election.
Despite a long legal struggle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleged fraud, the former governor of Imo State appeared on the ballot.
