Senator Teslim Folarin, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor in Oyo State, Adebo Ogundoyin, the speaker of the state house of assembly, and Shina Abiola Peller, the representative for the Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa and Kajola federal constituency, all praised the appointment of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as acting chief justice of Nigeria as deserving.

This information was revealed by the trio in separate news releases that were made accessible to DAILY POST on Tuesday.

Monday saw Ariwoola take the oath of office as interim Chief Justice of Nigeria.

The resignation of Tanko Muhammad necessitated the appointment.

The trio of Folarin, Ogundoyin, and Peller characterized the appointment of the celebrated lawyer who was born in Iseyin as highly deserved.

Folarin urged the incoming acting CJN in his comments to support the rule of law and remain committed to judicial reforms.

The legislator claimed that the judiciary is the most sensitive branch of government in a statement that was signed by his media assistant, Yekeen Olaniyi, and made accessible to DAILY POST.

I cordially congratulate our distinguished son of the Pacesetter State, Honourable Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, on his well-deserved elevation to Acting Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on behalf of the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District.

The judiciary is the government’s most delicate branch and the last bastion of the common man. I thus implore the newly appointed Acting CJN to carry out all the changes he plans to make to the Nigerian judicial system.

In his contribution, Ogundoyin said that Ariwoola’s appointment is another another example of how Oyo State natives all over the world are tenacious, persistent, and committed.

He continued by saying that the new acting CJN will use his extensive legal background to help with the difficult task of carrying out justice administration in the nation.

He pleaded with the Iseyin-born legal legend to further establish his name in history by working with other esteemed judges at the top court to reform the country’s judicial system to provide better services.

“Permit me to express my congratulations to our own Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on his appointment and elevation to the prestigious and lofty post of Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN.

“Your lordship’s appointment is without a doubt well deserved because you have distinguished yourself among lawyers.

In his comment, Peller referred to Ariwoola as a benefit to Oke Ogun.

Ariwoola, he said, is a symbol of morality, fairness, truth, and the law.

Peller insisted that the new acting CJN will bring the judiciary back to reason.

“Seeing him reach the height of his career brings joy to my heart, the hearts of my constituents, and the people of Oke-Ogun, Oyo State.

I have to admit that the residents of Oke Ogun, Oyo state, and Nigeria as a whole will benefit greatly from this.

“The 2023 general elections are drawing near, and many people are optimistic that the interim CJN’s tenure would bring back sanity to the judiciary.
