Ortom Outlines the Justification for Buhari’s Order to Release Nnamdi Kanu

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has explained why President Muhammadu Buhari should order the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the illegal Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

According to Naijaloaded, Justice Nyako postponed the pro-Biafra activist’s case until November 14, 2022, pending the Appeal Court’s decision.

After the High Court denied Nnamdi Kanu’s request for bail, it was believed that his legal team will submit an appeal to the Court of Appeal.

The IPOB leader is facing charges of treason, leading an illegal organization, and bail skipping.

In a Wednesday interview with Arise TV, Ortom suggested that Buhari release Kanu since he is a freedom warrior who desires the liberation of his people.

The governor requested that the President order the IPOB leader’s release and take action against the Fulani herdsmen who are terrorizing the nation.

“How do you imprison Nnamdi Kanu, a freedom warrior who claims he wants his people’s liberation?

“Why won’t you detain the Fulani men? Consider the attack on the train from Abuja to Kaduna.

These thugs are still holding our people captive today. In what location is security? The president has vanished. Tell me what’s going on.

They pursued and stopped Sunday Igboho in the South West. Why are these Fulani guys terrorizing this nation and why can’t they be stopped?

And my local government murders citizens. You then expect me to remain silent, right? Do they wish to terrorize us? I’m never going to be intimidated, he answered.
