The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Osun State has called the alleged defection of 10,000 party members to the All Progressives Congress (APC) “a basket of lies coming from a failed government party.”
The Osun PDP urged the APC to quit deceiving itself by using false and erroneous decampee numbers.
The Osun PDP Caretaker Committee Secretary, Femi Carrena, said in a statement released on Wednesday in Osogbo that the APC and its allies would soon suffer the consequences of their lying.
He stated that the decampees were planted in the PDP to cause distractions through pointless lawsuits and grandstanding while denouncing them as political dealers and unrepentant APC collaborators.
He stated:
The Osun PDP intelligence team has long considered the few people who claimed to be “decamped ten thousand” to their dying hosts to be political traders and unrepentant APC accomplices planted in the PDP to incite distractions through spurious lawsuits and grandstanding.
The PDP compared the APC to a political party that “has lived its life primarily on fraud and misinformation,” with “their figurative ten thousand jesters.
