Hajj 2022: Zamfara set to airlift first batch

The first batch of intending pilgrims in Zamfara State have reported at the Hajj Camp in Gusau, the State capital in preparation for their transportation to Sir Abubakar 111 international Airport, Sokoto en route Saudi Arabia for the Hajj exercise.

dsmedia24 gathered that the first batch of the intending pilgrims are from Anka, Bakura, Bukkuyum, Birnin Magaji, Maradun, Kaura Namoda, Talata Mafara, Tsafe, Shinkafi and Maru Local Government Areas of the State.

This medium also learnt that they are expected to be airlifted at the Sokoto Airport.

Earlier, Zamfara State Amirul Hajj and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya alongside executive Chairman of the state Hajj Commission, Lawal Isah Abdullahi and other officials visited the Hajj Camp to ensure smooth operations.

The State Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle is expected to address the intending pilgrims before their departure to Sokoto.
