Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has disbanded the Petroleum Taskforce Committee

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, the Governor of Abia State, has dissolved the State Petroleum Taskforce group.

He also ordered the defunct task force committee to promptly turn over all government property, including identity cards, to the Office of the State Commissioner of Petroleum.

The committee was dissolved, according to a press release sent by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Chris Ezem, to journalists in Umuahia on Friday.

According to the announcement,

“Any members of the dissolved taskforce who disobey these directions will be arrested and prosecuted by security.”
