Gabriel Jesus, a striker for Manchester City, is scheduled to have a physical with Arsenal on Tuesday before his £45 million transfer.
The Brazil forward was the top target for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta this summer.
Jesus, whose contract with City has one year left, is eager to leave the Premier League champions.
The 25-year-decision old’s to quit may also have been influenced by Erling Haaland’s arrival at The Etihad.
Arsenal and City reached a £45 million deal last week, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Jesus is already in London for his medical with the Gunners.
The athlete has consented to join Arteta’s team on a five-year deal.
Arteta and Jesus were coworkers at City, and the Spaniard was a major factor in persuading the forward to transfer to North London.
He will join the likes of Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, and Matt Turner as Arsenal’s fourth summer signings.
