This comes after a video of an interview Peter Obi gave in 2017 went viral. In the interview, he said he only had two pairs of shoes.
In the video, the former governor of Anambra said that he got the shoes from a certain brand store in the UK.
“I’ve told Nigerians that Peter Obi only wears black shoes, and I have two pairs of black shoes that I bring with me when I travel.
The shoe’s goal is to keep the leg from getting hurt. Not a thing. I paid £49.99 at Marks and Spencer for this, end of story,” Obi said.
Obi challenged a woman named Saratu Ishaya, who lives in the UK at the moment, to check if what he said was true.
Saratu said in the video that she had found a copy of Obi’s shoes at a Marks and Spencer store in the Kensington neighborhood of London.
She also confirmed that they sold for the price that Peter Obi said he paid for them.
She then told Nigerians that they should trust most of what the former governor of Anambra said.
